High-speed wire mill usually refers to the mill with a maximum speed higher than 40m/s, and the maximum speed of newly built high-speed wire mill can reach 120m/s. The main process characteristics of high-speed wire can be summarized as: continuous, high speed, torsion-free and controlled cooling, among which high speed rolling is the main process characteristics. High speed wire mill is characterized by large plate weight, high precision and excellent performance. Its production process is as follows:
Step heating furnace → blanking → cutting head → rough rolling → medium rolling → pre-finishing rolling → finishing rolling → water cooling → spinning cloth ring → loose winding air cooling → collecting winding → rolling and hanging winding → bundling packaging → marking → weighing → storage.
5. Hot rolled coil production technology and equipment
The production process of hot rolled coil mainly includes three kinds: conventional hot continuous rolling, thin slab continuous casting continuous rolling and furnace coiling mill.
The advantages of conventional hot continuous rolling are stable process, high production efficiency, thick slab, high product quality, mainly positioning high quality and more complete varieties, such as super deep drawing steel, high strength steel, high steel grade pipeline steel, automobile plate, etc.
The advantages of thin slab continuous casting and rolling are less investment, saving land, low energy consumption, low cost, can produce thinner products and other characteristics, mainly positioning middle and low grade, thin products.
With less investment and flexible production, the steckel mill can produce both hot rolled coil and medium thickness plate.
